High-ranking Chinese officials will arrive in B.C. in early January to examine RCMP evidence in the Amanda Zhao murder case.
NDP MLA Jenny Kwan said the officials originally wanted to come to Canada six years ago, when Zhao was allegedly murdered by her live-in boyfriend, but were "delayed and delayed because of bureaucratic buck-passing." After a visit by Zhao's parents in October, the government has started to move more quickly, said Kwan, who has joined with NDP MLA Mike Farnworth in representing the Zhao family.
